5 tips for home alone nights

You made it through the day... a hard and long one also. We say you deserve a much-earned self-care evening. Agree?

If you find yourself needing some inspiration beyond logging into your computer, we’re making it easy for you and sharing all the essentials for an ideal “me” night.

Read on for how we’ll be spending our weeknights free time.

1.Have a date night with yourself

Often we forget to celebrate our solitude and nurture ourselves the way we would do with someone else. At the end of the day, we are in a long and committed relationship with ourselves, till death do us part if you will.

With any relationship, putting in the effort will help maintain the balance. It's time to get all dressed and made up as you would in any dating scenario. Go wipe the dust off that cookbook that's been on your shelf forever, pick the most romantic recipe and open a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoy the serenity. “Spaghetti bolognese is the cliche that always works😉"

2. Time to take out the warmer clothes. Bye winter!

Our favorite time of the year is almost here and what else does an impatient person does but start preparing a wee bit too early. It’s time to take out the winter clothes and put them away for their summer sleep. Let’s start color planning all the new fits and pieces for this SS21.

We can't wait for sunny days at the beach!

3. Face DIY mask

Nothing more fun than a spa weekend, no? However, if you like us, haven't been able to go to a spa in a while, why not bring this home?

Treat yourself to a luxurious hydrating face mask. All you’ll need is 2 teaspoons of raw honey and 1/2 teaspoons of lemon juice.

1. Mix both ingredients together and gently apply it to your face.

2. Wait for about 20-30 minutes before rinsing it off.

TIP! While your mask is setting, prep your bathtub for a relaxing soak.

3. Enjoy nourished and smooth skin for the rest of the week.

4. Do absolutely nothing. Boredom is great too!

We get stuck in our daily routines where there’s no time for boredom. We're so over-stimulated with news, products, trends, social media, ads, photos, likes and followers…that sometimes we forget how incredible it is to literally do nothing.

Try it!

When switching off your computer after a hard day of work, allow yourself to do nothing. Some say great ideas come from boredom...

5. Create a manifesting board

In line with tip 4, connecting with your inner self might be just the key ingredient you need for defining your goals. Take the time to truly devote yourself to your future and start setting up a plan.

Write 5 or 10 of your deepest desires and gratitude. 'Your desires' should include the goals you have set for yourself. 'Gratitudes' give you a perception of the present and help to remind you of everything you should grateful for. '

Once you are done, write down 'What you love to do'. This list should include activities you can easily incorporate into your daily routine.

Gather all of these notes and find photos that inspire those visions. After you've created your manifesting board, hang it up somewhere where you can see it every day.

Your manifesting board can also be digital. A phone screensaver can also does the job.
